ECC Philosophy:

The Elu Children Care (ECC) philosophy and living style is based on “self-touch” with partnership approach. It is the philosophy that works to rescue the poor foundation of human growth that challenges our system of education in Tanzania.

Many nursery and primary schools and even secondary schools in Tanzania are much informed with one direction of communication. Information and knowledge always come from top to bottom, from teachers to students, from parents to children, from leaders to local people, and not the other way round.

The system of education encourages the children and young people from early elementary to high levels and colleges to receive knowledge and instructions from the top (teachers), and do not contribute enough. This situation, in turn, creates dependency of someone to educate others in the community, that many people live on waiting for support from others.

In contrast, ECC's philosophy considers and sees children and youths as partners. The approach ECC uses is based on friendships that makes our communication a two-way street. The philosophy does not insist more or less on imposing external knowledge, rather it puts much emphasis on learning and discovery.

The philosophy believes that children as human being are not just trainees in life, they are trainers too. Their interactions with other groups of people are not a preparation for life, but they are life itself.

ECC Vision:

Our vision is to build, preserve, and promote the sense of responsibility between children, school staff, and parents in their partnerships in life. That is to create the conscious environment of human living, improving it, and making it more meaningful.

ECC Mission:

The school's mission is to build and strengthen self realization in children, school staff, and parents. This self realization will help us get in touch with one's SELF as an individual; that way the life between one person and another becomes more meaningful. We do this through our daily school programs.

General ECC Objective:

The ECC’s general objective is to work hard to create a better environment for children, and to enhance the children’s, school staff's. and parents’ life promotions, where sense and a spirit of love, respect, and understanding will be realized. We believe if we love, respect, understand each other, then collaboration among ourselves and the society we live in, will bring peace across the the globe through an increased level of interaction.
