Donors & Friends

The ECC’s ethics is about building high values in children, and helping them achieve their greatest potentials. Therefore, even though we accept donations and gifts from different sources worldwide as one way of school support, we want to be clear that we Do Not accept money, supplies, gifts, or any type of donations from criminal related sources. Elu Children Care defines criminal or illegal sources of donation as those donations which come from illegal drug businesses, theft, prostitution, etc. We do not also accept any donations or gifts from dictators. We are proud to build a broad base of churches, groups of community organizers, organizations, and even individual donors to ensure the school values are highly maintained.

You can make donation online, or, if you would prefer to donate by mail, please send check payable to:

Elu Children Care,
PO Box 5462
Morogoro, Tanzania
East Africa.

Thanks to IDEM work camp of Germany, Japanese, and Clear Vybz Production of Texas for their supportive donations.
They made a big difference to the school.

Friends

Each year ECC asks friends, parents, and school staff to show their support by making a gift to the school. These gifts allow ECC the opportunity to provide enhancements to the educational experience that tuition and fees do not cover. They also allow money to be immediately available for pressing needs and opportunities as they arise for our pupils (children) and staff throughout the year.

Currently, tuition covers only 30% of the actual costs of education. The school does not collect enough tuition since the school now has 20 orphans. This number increases every year. Besides the orphans the school does enroll significant number of children who come from economically disadvantaged families.

School projects such poetry, school buses, Audio CDs and DVD store, and art work, just to mention a few, only provides 15%, making private support critical for filling in the gap.

You may designate your donation to the area of your choice whether, that is specific donation to build a big and modern library, laboratory, a dorm, a classroom, a department, or a program. Thanks to IDEM-Work Camp of Germany for supporting us to build a big dining room facility. And every donation or gift makes a difference, no matter the size.

Please join us as we come together to make a difference in the lives of children and help them reach their potentials.

Every donation or gift means a lot to Elu Children Care. If you would like more information, or are planning on making a planned donation to ECC, please contact Erasto Luanda;

Programs & Classes     Why does ECC exist?     ECC Community

    ECC Programs and classes include:

The academic program, where the school follows a
government syllabus for the pupils to sit for national     exams.

ECC moreover established its own main subject     known as Personal Touch (PT) where pupils and     Uncles/ Aunts share their personal opinions and     experiences of life in the class.

There are also classes like carving, painting, and     music that provide the participants a forum to share     their skills with others.

Games and sports, debates, and picnics are part of     the school programs.

School staff seminars -- a school tradition.

It is also ECC’s custom to invite friends from outside     to share life experiences through work camp.

ECC came into existence after experiencing:

There is a growing risk of human identity losing its     value.

Corruption and selfishness among people in societies.
The presence and the increase of hatred among     people in the world.

The trend of thought based on overly functionalistic     approach, which challenges the system of education     in Tanzania that, unconsciously, encourages superior     and inferior feelings among the people.

The school community is composed of pupils,     school staff, and parents:

The pupils share life experiences with parents at     home, and with the school staff at school.

The ECC staff members work in communal basis with a     distribution of responsibilities, such as teaching,     cooking, driving, and secretarial work just to name a     few.

Parents contribute and share their life experiences     through general parents meetings and parents school     committee with school staff.
